The request

Generate and verify offline SOS Morse-code WAV

Read the full request

Create an offline audio artifact for a fictional museum's Morse-code exhibit, not a website or an interactive app. Deliver sos.wav, generate_sos.py, verify_sos.py and README.md in the workspace. Use only Python 3 standard-library modules; no dependencies, downloads, internet or server. The audio must be a canonical little-endian RIFF/WAVE file containing mono 16-bit signed PCM at 8000 samples/second. Encode SOS as three short tones, three long tones, three short tones. One unit is exactly 100 ms (800 samples). A short tone lasts one unit, a long tone three units. Silence lasts one unit between tones of a letter and three units between letters. Begin immediately with the first tone; append exactly one unit of silence after the last tone, with no other padding. Each tone is a 600 Hz sinusoid with integer samples round(8192*sin(2*pi*600*j/8000)), where j starts at zero at each tone; silence samples are zero. Use Python's built-in round. The generator must produce the specified file deterministically. The independent verifier must read the generated WAV, validate the header/audio parameters, total sample count, every expected tone sample and every expected silence sample against the fixed SOS specification; fail with a nonzero exit code on mismatch. Do not derive expected timing from the generator's own data structure. Demonstrate that the verifier succeeds for sos.wav and rejects a temporary copy with a deliberately corrupted PCM sample; remove only that temporary negative-test copy. Record real execution results. README.md should describe the exhibit sound, timing and exact commands to regenerate and verify it. Do not create HTML or any browser UI.
