Flower-inspired four-shaft weaving sampler with draft and checker
Read the full request
Design a small original four-shaft weaving sampler inspired by opening flowers. Deliver a valid WIF draft with 16 warp threads, 16 weft picks and four treadles; a readable SVG drawdown; a printable threading/treadling sheet; and concise weaving instructions. Use an original four-colour palette. Reconstruct the drawdown from the actual WIF threading, tie-up and treadling data, not a separate hand-drawn pattern. Include a dependency-free checker that validates the draft and computes warp/weft floats including cyclic repeat boundaries. Limit every float to four threads. Record measured results. State that no physical weaving test has occurred. Deliver English materials, original content and offline reproducible checks. The artifact is the product; no web application or external service. Make reasonable reversible design choices independently.

Fix weaving draft checker to follow WIF 1.1 standard
Read the full request
Repair Shuttle Bloom into an interoperable WIF 1.1 weaving draft, preserving the 16 ends, 16 picks, four shafts/treadles and four-colour concept. Independent review found a private dialect: [WIF] lacks Date, Developers and Source Program; thread counts belong in [WARP]/[WEFT] Threads, individual colours in [WARP COLORS]/[WEFT COLORS]; add [COLOR PALETTE] Entries/Range and RGB integer triples in [COLOR TABLE], with CONTENTS accurately listing emitted sections. TIEUP values are comma-separated shaft indices, not bitmasks: 3 means shaft 3, not shafts 1+2. Reconstruct all actual SVG cells under the WIF rising/falling shed convention. The current checker/generator agree on the same wrong bitmask interpretation; do not use this agreement as proof. Align displayed pick order with the declared orientation: current README says bottom-to-top but SVG numbers pick 1 at the top. Check actual SVG positions and colours, not just element order. Fail every unbounded float: current checker filters None and ignores entirely unbound warp ends. Both faces and cyclic boundaries must satisfy the four-thread maximum. Include meaningful negative cases for malformed WIF, a shaft-8 reference in a four-shaft draft, stale drawdown, a correctly coloured cell moved outside the SVG viewport, shed inversion, and an unbounded yarn mixed with otherwise finite float directions. Distinguish a zero exposed run from an unbounded constant-true run. Derive and check the printable tie-up from the actual WIF data. Ensure expected-failure tests cannot catch their own failure-to-reject assertion. Report measured maxima rather than the threshold. Update the printable sheet and README to describe the actual draft; current straight sequences are incorrectly called mirrored. Use legible labels on dark palette chips. Keep all deliverables offline and original; no claim of loom import or physical weaving unless actually performed.
